“This series proudly features representation of neurodivergent characters. With personal experience with ASD and ADHD, along with clinical knowledge, I aim to portray these characters authentically. It's important to remember that neurodivergence exists on a spectrum and looks different for everyone. Nothing written or implied is intended as a blanket statement or generalization of any member of the neurodivergent community.”
“Please be aware that Fighting for Evangeline contains serious trigger warnings for domestic violence and sexual assault. The cycle of domestic violence is very real. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse or needs help, please reach out to the
National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233 or text BEGIN to 88788.”

Before you dive into the wild and twisting journey of The Vallyn Duet, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the darker waters we’re about to tread together. This duet explores themes that may not be for everyone, and your comfort and mental well-being are incredibly important to me.
Inside these pages, you’ll encounter on-page smoking, drinking, motor vehicle accidents, abduction, captivity, Stockholm syndrome, gun and knife violence, hand-to-hand combat, death, murder, torture, blood, PTSD, exposure therapy, stalking—including hidden cameras and cyberstalking, and attempted sexual assault. You will also encounter graphic non-consensual sexual acts, bondage, and drugging.
If any of these topics feel heavy for you right now, please take care of yourself first.
Remember, this is your journey as much as it is mine. Your mental health matters, always.

Before you dive into Roll For Love: Initiative and the rest of the trilogy, I want to offer a quick note about what you’ll find inside this story—and what might come with it.
This book is a love letter to found family, slow-burn chaos, emotional honesty, and that strange magic that happens when five broken people accidentally become a home.
It’s also a why choose romance—meaning no one has to pick just one partner, and no one gets left behind. But it’s not just about a woman loved by multiple men. Some of these men love each other, too. This isn’t a traditional reverse harem. It’s a web, not a line. It’s about connection in every direction, and what it means to share love without scarcity.
That said, this story doesn’t shy away from the messy parts. Our female main character lives with Type I diabetes, and her journey includes medically accurate details about insulin pumps, blood sugar crashes, and the harsh reality of insurance access in the U.S. You’ll also find themes of family rejection, housing insecurity, trauma healing, and learning to trust again—both yourself and others.
On the spice front: yes, it’s open-door. As the series progresses, so does the intimacy. Expect kink-affirming dynamics, praise, power play, and emotionally grounded group scenes—with clear consent and communication (and plenty of chaos).
If you're sensitive to any of the following, please take care of yourself as you read:
Content Warnings (complete list available on my website)
Chronic Illness / Type I Diabetes (including medical emergencies, insulin pump use, CGM alarms, hypoglycemia, and DKA)
Neurodivergence and mental health struggles
Medical financial stress / healthcare insecurity
Touch starvation, loneliness, and emotional trauma
Past emotional abuse and toxic relationship fallout
Houselessness risk / sudden eviction
Dysfunctional family dynamics and social rejection
Graphic, on-page, sexually explicit content including kink, voyeurism, group scenes, and consensual D/s dynamics
References to and use of alcohol, nicotine, and marijuana
Profanity
This is a story about choosing softness even when you’ve been hardened by life. It’s messy, a little nerdy, and deeply intimate—not just sexually, but emotionally.
Thank you for being here. I hope you fall for these characters the way I did—slowly, completely, and with your whole heart.

Welcome to Vyrdanor—where the divine are real, the magic is dangerous, and peace is always temporary.
The Vyrdanor Prophecy is a sweeping epic—part romance, part tragedy, part political reckoning. It follows not only chosen heroes and their lovers, but those who live in their shadows. Along the way, you will encounter themes both beautiful and brutal.
This is not a gentle story.
Though love pulses through its veins, so too does cruelty. Within these pages and the ones to follow, kingdoms rise and fall. Children are born with divine purpose—or cursed fates. Friendships are forged and fractured beneath the weight of lies, and desire can heal... or destroy.
You will walk through halls where alliances are sealed in blood and broken with a touch. You will meet warriors who cannot save everyone, lovers who choose wrong, and rulers who would rather burn the world than lose their crown—or their ideals.
Torture lives in the silence between pleas. Betrayal hides behind polished smiles. Marriage vows are forced in the name of peace. There is violence where there should have been safety, manipulation disguised as protection, and infidelity cloaked in both unthwarted lust and desperate longing.
The divine interfere. The bold defy them. And bodies—sometimes broken, sometimes sacred—become vessels of both love and trauma.
You’ll find coming-of-age arcs, explorations of sexual identity, fertility and childbirth, and moments that challenge the comfort of tradition. Violence will not always be swift, nor sex always soft.
Some characters will die. Others will wish they had.
If you have come for light—know it shines brightest in contrast to shadow.
If you have come for truth—prepare to face it with trembling hands.
And if you have come for love—expect to fight and bleed for it.
Some parts may make you swoon. Others may make you rage. I hope all of them make you feel.
This is not a fairytale. This is Vyrdanor.
And the prophecy waits for no one.

Dear Not-So-Gentle Reader,
First, let me thank you for picking up A Veil of Execration. I hope you brought a stiff drink, a rosary, and maybe a therapist on retainer. Because this isn’t a sweet love story with hand-holding and picnics. This is the kind of book where the picnic basket contains zip ties, the wine is laced with menace, and the blanket is already stained with blood.
Leon is not a cinnamon roll. He’s not even a burnt croissant. He’s arsenic wrapped in French leather with a gun tucked into his belt and a knife under your pillow. And Savannah? She probably should run, but instead she trips, moans, and thanks him for chaining her to the altar.
So, before you wander in unsuspecting, here’s your menu of depravity (also known as content warnings):
Graphic death, murder, and violence (artistic blood-splatter included)
Unnegotiated D/s dynamic (no contracts, no safewords, just Leon being Leon)
A sizeable age gap (38/22, or as Leon would say: “old enough to be man enough for her”)
Edge play & primal play (if you don’t know, you’ll learn)
Blood play, knife play, gun play (basically if it cuts, bleeds, or goes bang, Leon thinks it’s a sex toy)
Orgasm control (she begs, he denies, everyone suffers beautifully)
Breeding kink (with a side of birth control tampering)
Stalking (the obsessive, obsessive kind—he’s basically her personal shadow with a murder habit)
And probably a few other sins I forgot to confess
If any of the above makes you clutch your pearls, consider this your polite exit. If instead you need to make sure your battery-operated boyfriend is charged before turning the next page—welcome home.
With blood, wine, and at least a little French profanity,
Maelana ~ Stay Naughty
